Tehama Fair...

I just learnt yesterday that my mom & dad signed me up to ride in the Tehama Fair. I had asked mom to enter me into Showmanship because I can only to Open now. I am VERY interested to see how I place against horses that can pivot and handlers who know what they are doing. NOW this is NOT to say that everyone this year hasn't given me a run for my money. A lot of people really have, however, I know two of the women I will be competeing against and they usually juggle each other for showmanship (when I say juggle they switch between 1st and 2nd). So I am doing my best not to walk into the show thinking "I'm ganna bet em!" and "Oh I'm ganna lose why bother." The important thing to me is NOT "being better" than anyone but kind of seeing how I stack up to the competition. I can learn more about what I need to do for State! I have been working with D and my dad helped us discover that our trotting lines are not straight. We slowly move left lol so we have to work on straight lines and I am still over pivoting him! Gah! Fair is going to be September 26th and I was hoping on attened a schooling show on the 27th that has a bearback eq class and a pairs class that a friend of mine and I wanted to enter to see how we do. I am not sure if I will be able to go though since I don't have a truck to haul my trailer around. That is all for now :d Sorry it's been so long things have really slowed down. OH and I am still waiting to get my buckle from the region 18 English/Western chair person :(. I can't get a hold of her which is really starting to irritate me.
